President's Message 2022

It is with excitement and humility that I stand as the President of the Peterborough & the Kawartha’s Home Builders Association for 2021/22. As President I am here to listen to and serve our members and to engage all of our stakeholders in meaningful discussion and more importantly - unified action. Our industry is going through unprecedented changes at an unprecedented pace and now more than ever our association is relevant and needed.

The year ahead will be grounded in two unifying themes MEMBER ENGAGEMENT & Community Building. It is only through the active involvement of our members that we can realize and deliver on our strategic plan and build a strong, vibrant membership and in turn, strong vibrant communities. We have a lifetime of experience within our ranks! When we actively engage as a community in meaningful ways, our lives will be much simpler and happier and we will continue to offer exceptional experiences to our customers. It is more important than ever that we act as a unifying force to bring together critical stakeholders in meaningful and productive ways.

It takes a community to build a community and we will be actively engaging our municipalities, elected officials, building officials, educators, conservation authorities and regulators to ensure we work together toward the common goal of building and renovating healthy, efficient, durable and comfortable homes and spaces for those that live, work, play and love in our communities. Let us all work together and share best practices to ensure that our members continue to be the partners of choice for homeowners in our region. We are continuing on our journey of excellence and if you are reading this, I invite you to be part of the experience.
